Medusa (C) 1-14-10 Poem by Zahir Kijani

Medusa (C) 1-14-10

No one, no one in the world, no one in the universe
Has her eyes
Eyes that turns water into stone
Enchanting and beautiful are her eyes
But one glance, will leave you frozen
Her eyes will lock you where you stand
The most beautiful eyes I’ve ever seen
Superficial maniacs crave her for them
And even with the shield
The image alone tears through to you
It seems as though she’s staring into your very spirit
With her eyes, until your soul, can no longer function
No antidote, no cure, no medical solution,
It’s just one of those medical anomalies that leaves you
DEVASTATED
Eyes that’ll turn you into a pillar of salt if you peek back at them
Eyes that could end wars in the Middle East and the rest of them
Eyes that could create statues all around Rome, Greece, and the world
The perfect shape, perfect size, and width apart, perfect color,
Perfect Eyes
I can’t believe something like that exists,
I may be the only living creature that can illustrate her eyes, why
Because I stared into her eyes and kissed her lips, Yes
I don’t know if it was God’s bidding but I did and you know what
Her eyes left me like jello in my sharpest form
You have never seen eyes until you’ve seen
The crystals on the top of her face.
