Memories - Poem by Gordon Jerome

Not so long ago or so far away
My love would brighten my everyday
With but a smile upon her loving face
She filled the void in my inner space
She was my reason for all that I’d done
Within life’s darkness she was my sun
To see her smile was a beautiful thing
Or to hear her laugh my soul would sing
I treasured her more than I could ever show
With a love to this day that continues to glow
She long ago has moved on outgrowing my ways
But I’ll always have my memories of those happier days.
“closing thought”
May a memory put a smile on your face everyday
While adding warmth to your heart in everyway
