Miss You Poem by Deborah Cromer

Miss You

Rating: 5.0

Up into the light, from the deepest of dark
I have emerged above with a single spark
Glowing I grow and continue to shine
Stronger I live, wishing you were still mine

Venturing everyday along reality's twisted path
Harsh and painful is loneliness's wrath
I have survived without you for the longest time
Held together in pieces by fragments of rhyme

I search in all places for a glimpse of your face
I feel I am losing in this "finding you" race
Daily I pray in different, honoring and loyal ways
Looking, searching and traveling in this "without you" maze

How can I survive one more second of truly missing you
Outside I present myself as colorful, but inside I am so blue
Strong and courageous I go on, always reaching for the light
With demons and monsters I continuously have to fight

I battle emotions and I am at war with my thoughts
How can I ever forget or ignore: little-bit, little-bit, lots...

I. the feeling of love and the pride captured in the your shine as a spark / star....I loved Glowing I grow..... 2. reality's twisted path and lonliness' wrath..... then the masterstroke........held togather in pieces by fragments of rhyme.... so much symbolic of hope and dream that are held in our minds and hearts despite the known reality...... 3.Finding you...........and without you, these two phrases have really made the poem take a sharp turn, showing your finesse and wordly strength as a poet...good words and flow here, I liked praying in honoring and loyal ways.... 4. outside colorful and inside sad and blue..... wow....strong and courageous, reaching for light...figthing with demons and monsters along the way.... 5. battling emotions and at war with own thoughts....dissolving, ignoring, forgetting the past...a bit by bit and then the whole lot..... Your capability of diving deep into a situation and ocean of emotions is unique..... keep up the good work
