Mom... - Poem by Isabella Badger

As reality grows on all of us
It can make us all fall off the path
Sometimes my life seems just like a big mess
It's all just like a big scheme of hard math.
My one hard reality is my mom
Because she died when I was just four
It all hit me like an atomic bomb
Watching my dad become oh so sore.
I don't know how in the world I stayed calm
While inside me all there was, was a war.
How I yearn for the feel of her palm
My heart will forever be torn
I will forever be yours, mom.
