Moonwalker (Fr. Michael Jackson) Poem by LeeAnn Azzopardi

Moonwalker (Fr. Michael Jackson)

Rating: 5.0

You took over the headlines that afternoon in 2009
They overshadowed the death of a 1970's actress
That was more popular for a poster than her acting
Still, yours was more newsworthy
Because it was unnatural--an overdose
The radio stations started to play yr hits
After the notoriety on what you did with some kids
Causing you to be cancelled
I guess dying gave you a comeback
With new recording to cash in on yr sudden acceptance
A shame that they had to sell Neverland

A great tribute, LeeAnn. Interesting to be reading this now. A friend of mine is a huge Michael Jackson fan. She's in palliative care unit. What gift do you buy in that scenario?

2) I bought her a Michael Jackson T-shirt. I'm gonna get all her friends to sign their names on the back. THX for the poem.

Fa reaching, nostalgic and so very well written it shakes us up and becomes alive. A truly great poem!

I agree with what Nosheen Irfan says in her comment.Legends never die. They are popular both in their life time and after death.Mystery still shrouds the death of Michael Jackson and also allegations against him.

Legends never die. They live in hearts. Sadly apparently lucky celebs might be suffering pain deep inside. Great tribute!
