Moral Responsibility Poem by Richard Wlodarski

Moral Responsibility

Rating: 5.0

Hey Rapster Drake
Make no mistake
No kinda fake
Too much at stake

Wakin' up rappin'
To all that killin'
You're not at all helpin'
While police lookin'

Ariela's six feet under
'Cause stray bullet went asunder
Hibbert's been murdered
Are you even tortured?

Muzik Nightclub
Your soulful hub
Searchin' for that hole
In your damned lost soul

Fenoy at twenty-six
No mo life in the six
But life goes on, right?
No longer for her, right?

Cabby refused the ride
Fenoy took her last stride
No longer Yin and Yang
Because of the bang bang

Yo the bro may have sang
When the boys in blue rang
Ten shots out of the blue
Where's the security crew?

Hibbert is dead man
And yes you sure can
Lend a meaningful hand
To the law of the land

Remember Junior Degrassi
Before you became so sassy
Believin' you're Drizzy
Maybe in love with Ri Ri

Let's stop the killin'
And let's start chillin'
Instead of all the hatin'
How 'bout some kinda lovin'

Hey man you got the know
Like no tomorrow
So let's get the show on the go
No mo killin' no mo sorrow

We gonna buy no mo pain
We gonna see no mo rain
We gonna find no mo dead
We gonna use our head

Wakin' up mo alive than dead
Because we got no life to dread
No longer shooting to kill
Because we've found a new thrill

Yo Drake surrender
From cold down under
Respect your thunder
Forget your blunder

Remember your wonder
Today you are thunder
Tomorrow's lightnin'
Your last night sparklin'

Ariela not living to be celebrity
Hibbert dead for lack of respect maybe
Bros in the hit mix in the six
Churning out those in the picks

Yo you're not snitchin'
When you're complainin'
'Bout all the fightin'
And the damn killin'

You're communicatin'
You're cooperatin'
You're moralizin'
You're humanizin'

Stop all the bitchin'
And all the ditchin'
And all the gripin'
Start cooperatin'

We gonna buy no mo pain
We gonna see no mo rain
We gonna find no mo dead
We gonna use our head

Livin' a life of partyin'
Stomach turnin' and tossin'
Seein' those that are killin'
While you are sound sleepin'

You're solid, man!
Nobody can!
Like you sure can!
Be a Damn Man!

Richard, this is terrific. Are think these lyrics are done, set, and ready to to be performed. You mention Drake, but I keep hearing Slim Shady....awesome, Richard.

Thank you so very much, M.J. Getting the green light from you is awesome. Drake is at the center of the whole. The song is meant to appeal to his conscience. I know that he's really struggling with the mentioned deaths. And that he wants to do what's right. Hopefully, the song will help him move in the right direction.

A poem that could be composed into a rap song and a tap dance. Enjoyed the rhythmic metre, Richard! Let's stop the killin' And let's start chillin' Instead of all the hatin' How 'bout some kinda lovin' An important message strongly woven within the song that rhymes is life. To live a life of Ahimsa - Non Violence. A life of love and peace. As always you have made your point through this beautiful poem. A full vote, once again. Thank you Richard for sharing your benign thoughts.

Geeta, thank you so very much for your very positive insightful comments. Yes, it's being transformed into a rap song. I never thought of a tap dance, but I think that would be pretty cool. Drake is struggling with his conscience over a few deaths. This poem/song was written to assist him in making some moral choices. Hopefully, he'll listen.

Thank you, Chinedu. This one is being transformed into a song which I sincerely hope Drake will listen to. Maybe he won't do the right thing, but it might shake him up a bit.
