Music Poem by leen Akel MNSR

Music

Rating: 3.9

A blessing to the ears
Sometimes takes away your fears
Could be sad
Rarely bad

Helps you sleep at night
In the darkness, you can find light
Could be calm, could be loud
Could be played in a crowd

To the lyrics, you move your lips
To the beat, you move your hips
Singing and dancing all night long
Enjoying dinner with a background song

Relatings to all the words
Feelings as free as birds
Loud music makes you let go
Forcing you to go with the flow

Keeps on getting better
There is no need for a letter
Words of you own choice
Sung with your addictive voice

Music is the universal language and your poem succinctly proves it. Congratulations on Poem Of The Day. Well deserved. I invite you to check out some of my poem/songs esp. Resurrection and Closing Time {For Leonard Cohen}. Enjoy and take care.

I like the accompanying photo with the memo MUSIC = LIFE Y - E - S Your poem dropped immediately into a musical environment, the whole space was alive with music and your commentary guided me into accepting, if not fully appreciating music I do not listen to on my own. That may sound like faint praise but I'm just being honest because we can't all like all music. But your enthusiasm and generosity in this poem made me open to whatever music the like-minded people gathered around us want to hear, because that is the music that will bind deeper. Your poems makes that vividly clear. Just as the music will make our community vividly clear. Play on: I'm listenining and I'm learning.

Hi Ieen, First of all, congratulations on being selected as poet of the day. And this poem truly deserves it. It is the first time that I am coming across your poems. Sorry about that. Am yet to read other poems. After reading this one, I am interested to read all your poems. Your poems itself is music to the ears, so rhyming, so beautifully conceived. I tried reciting it aloud; But I am not good at it. Why dont you recite it in your own voice and post it. I am waiting. A 100+ is nothing for this poem. It deserves more; but ph does not permit! ! !
