I do not know why I call him
My Tibetan Monk!
I guess, it's his calm demeanour,
A broad forehead, as vast as the sky,
Rare eyebrows, that look like mountain peaks,
Eyes very sharp, yet like two pools of compassion,
Curly hair that twine with dignity like cute ringlets,
A serene, smiling round face, so charming!
Its not just the face that is the winning feature,
It is the beautiful mind that glows with light,
Like Buddha - the Enlightened One!
A unique ability to grasp the minute details
With tenderness, the little things of joy in life.
A heart that knows only to give, bestow and serve,
So silently, that only the receiver knows and recognizes
Its worth, its depth and its wonderment!
For me, with your coming into my life,
There was a colossal wave of changes.
You entered like a dazzling ray of morning sunshine,
Encircling and enveloping me
With the warmth of your angelic love.
You have been a strong pillar of strength
For the entire family - my father became your best friend,
While my mother loved you like her own son.
For me and my daughter,
You have been a messiah with a touch of magic.
Like a banyan tree, you have protected and shaded us
With extreme care and gentleness.
Your words of wisdom spoken with such softness,
Will ever guide us through a path of honesty and humility.
To continue our life with kindness and compassion,
Reaching and extending to the farthest realm of the horizon.
Happy Birthday my beloved ‘Tibetan Monk'!
