My Father - Poem by alicia mullins

my father never came around but maybe once or twice
i never got to see him as often as i'd like
something in my heart tells me that somewhere in him he does care
but then why was he never there
why was he never there, does he love me, why does he make me cry
i'll never get an answer for these questions, alls i can do is wonder why
he left me without a word to where he was going or when he'd be back
now a father is what i lack
i used to think maybe he'd be back to see me
but now i reolize that was a just a fantasy
there are so many questions i need to ask him
but now he's in prison
i'll probably never get to see him ever again
i wish he knew how much i missed him
but now its to late, he'll never know
how much i'v cryed and how i miss him so...
