My Heart............
Oft my heart like a bird
Wants to fly to lands unknown
And to sing songs yet unheard
To wade and wallow on far off shores
To float with puffy cumulus over fields
With a skylark to sing and in the skies soar
My heart longs to dance with the peacock
When it fans out its feathers in elation
And gracefully in wilderness walks
Sometimes it wishes to sit like an owlet
Who finds its niche in a tree trunk
Away from life’s all fever and fret
