Mystery Person 03

Rating: 5.0

Let me tell you about Person Three.
One of a kind is he, certainly.
Rarely gives up, no matter how weary.
Vexing problems he solves, leaving him cheery.
Great is his wisdom, as well as his age.
Embrace the sure fact that he is a sage.
Everyone, let's make an effort and try.
Why can't we all be more like this guy?
So, can you find any clues on this page?

POET'S NOTES ABOUT THE POEM
Written 16 February 2017
and saved for the March 2017 Contest.

This is the March 2017 contest poem.
Note the following changes to the usual rules.

This contest does not have a cash prize, and no spot in Poetry Heaven is available this month. The only prize is the GLORY of solving and having your name posted in the Contest Results.

Usually, to solve the contest, contestants send me messages via PH's internal mail system. This month, DO NOT SEND MESSAGES ABOUT THE CONTEST ON THE PH MAIL SYSTEM. Post your comments below the poem itself.

In your comment, you must do two things: First, tell WHO you think the mystery person is, and then tell WHY you think it is that person.

The first person to come up with the right name is not necessarily the winner of the contest. He or she must also have the right REASON for his/her choice.

Boa sorte! (Good luck!)

There is no doubt... It is like looking in a mirror... It's me And the reason is because I am far too modest to think it could possibly be

Har Har Har. You're one of a kind, so you fit that part (and the age too) .: -)

Readers, the mystery person has now been solved, but can anyone identify the species of bird in the picture?

It is Wes Vogler. The Initial letters of each line are the letters of his name out of order. I agree with your estimate of his specialness

Kelly, you are correct. Poor Wes had the right person but not the right reason. He shouldn't feel too bad, however. He answered four of the five questions last month, and nobody else got any.

I take it that my guess was wrong, so my next guess is King Solomon. If Solomon was so wise, why did he have 700 wives? I chose Solomon because he is noted for his great wisdom.

He actually had 1000 wives if you count his 300 concubines.

Dear Kim I love the challenges that contests bring up, but I do not like to participate in them, for the simple reason that there is nothing that I want to prove. But I will try an answer out of competition if you give me a permission.. The third man could be anybody, we all are one of a kind, my neighbour, your friend's grandfather, a teacher, physician and so on.. But my second thought brought by the question Why can't we all be more like this guy? is Jose Mujica. the world's 'humblest' president (Uruguay) due to his austere lifestyle and his donation of around 90 percent of his monthly salary to charities that benefit poor people and small entrepreneurs.(wiki) . He seems to me a mystery person as we don't know very much about him and, by the way he lives, a sage.

You have my permission to participate. My contests are open to everyone, but in those that have cash prizes, only active PH members from the USA are eligible to win the cash. This one does not have a cash prize; you can only win GLORY. The more people who participate, the more fun it is for me. José Mujica parece un hombre muy bueno.

Readers, the photo is not a clue to the identity of the mystery person. It's just a random photo I pulled out of my files because I like to put pictures with my poems. I couldn't even tell what was in the picture until after the poem was posted. I decided to just leave it there instead of looking for another one. Now that it is there, however, let's have some more fun. Can anyone identify what species of bird it is just from the part that is showing? (I actually know exactly what it is.)
