No Place Like Home - Poem by Khai Ramsey

Usually I would never say this
But there is no place like home
I have never in my life been so ready
To return to the place I call home
But I am out of my element
And with someone I prefer not to be with

I was forced to come
So there was already hard feelings
I was made to stay
So those feeling stay the same
No place like home

I left my baby
Our anniversary was coming up
All because I had to come here
Any other time this would be my favorite place to be
But because I didn't want to be here
I just want to go home

True, there is no place one would rather be then home for one feels safe & secure there then anywhere else. (Report) Reply
