Ocean Of Sorrow (For My Parents, Carmel And Aida) Poem by LeeAnn Azzopardi

Ocean Of Sorrow (For My Parents, Carmel And Aida)

Rating: 5.0

Let me sing you a lullaby, Dad
I know you are with Mum
But we haven't talked much
I think of you every day
Let me recite this poem, Mum
Even though, you might not understand
I want you to acknowledge my pain
Missing Mum and you hurt me so
It's torture looking at yr picture
But I can't look away or throw them out
All I can do is weep
As the the tears form an ocean of sorrow
I am drowning in grief

We feel you pain and loving devotion for your parents in every word. Losing those you love so much js just about the deepest pain, that is constantly and forever so deeply engrained. And that you so sincerely express.

Moving words. Parents are truly valuable. Their absence is an irreparable loss. Beautifully penned feelings for the ones who really deserve the most beautiful words. Kudos!

And in drowning in your grief, you are writing truly outstanding poetry, LeeAnn. The pain, sorrow, grief and love that you had/have for your parents is so eloquently expressed in every line of this splendiferous poem. It moved me very much, LeeAnn!
