Ode To A Singing Lark
O Lark,
your voice induces
sparks of sweetness
in the dark,
you sing to wake
the Dawn up
while the Night is
still asleep
Mercy, you!
May the baby sun sleep
a bit furthermore deep
in its horizon lap!
May you prolong
your song
until I shape up these lines
searching you out
over my window pane...
