Old Age - Poem by Asif Andalib

Grey hairs
Many thoughts
Fewer talks
Fewer hopes
Fewer friends
Less will to live
The only thing
That keeps me going
On the zigzag way of life
Is the desire to be loved.

Please don't worry do not feel sad, on a first sight it seem to be like you say, fewer, but maybe very worthy, How lucky I have been to meet a few wonderful old at age only people (over 70' 80') who are filled with great energy and seem not to feel old and lonely at all...They taught me that loneliness sometime could mean also absolute freedom. Not always bad, or so I hope, who am I to know? Nice poem, thank you for share. (Report) Reply

At 87 years old I can totally agree with this. so truthful and sobering. Well done, with great brevity (Report) Reply
