कि हमारे पास ऐसा कोई तोहफ़ा नहीं है जो हाकिम को समझा सके;
So true! It is better to be silent than to voice a opinion on a topic like war where there is no solution. A brilliant poem so brilliantly translated by dear Rajnish ji.
You have nicely summed up the situation taken up as the subject of this poem. Thank you so much, Geeta ji, for your kind words of support for its Hindi translation.
This is a brilliant poem wonderfully written by the poet and you have nicely translated this. We have no gift to set a statesman right. This is better to remain silent. Thank you very much for sharing this...10
This gives me a great deal of moral strength and inspiration to have your support for my translation work. Thanks a lot, Kumarmani ji.
Quite a good poem, but not strongly anti-war, nor pro-war. Therefore to me it lacks passion. M.Walker.
I think you are right, Michael. The poet is silent about the savagery of war or about how it can be eliminated or minimized.
Yeats has got it right about war. His Irish spirit shows through in some poems, like this one.
Yes, it reflects his, and many of us, aversion to war and the devastation that comes in its wake.
