Today when I was watching, he mirrored,
Seen his face on mine-remembered
Now he is no more, a friend of mine,
Always laughing, joking, such a shine,
Once informed me-Uncle got the visa,
Departure at evening must come to airport,
We must bid farewell to departing soul,
Long troubled for passport now cool
He took me to cemetery shown the grave,
It was being dug, heavy words of the brave
He was a cancer patient, dancing singing
The day he cracked a joke saying the same,
We all were laughing then he said, flame,
Before breath frozen said; life is but a game.
Before breath frozen said; life is but a game.................poem on a very sensitive topic....nice
Life is really a game. All roads meet at the death gate.A fabulous poem on an inevitable drama- - - - - - Death.
Sad story! your friend was really brave, to laugh and joke when one is suffering from disease like cancer is not everyone's cup of tea, thanks for the share Aftab bhai :)
Very man has a return visa issued to him and we know not yet as to when we have to board the flight back home. I feel sad for your young cheerful friend, as you put it with ' such a shine.' Coming to the poem, it is a good eyeopener that we all are mortals.

So sad but so sympathetic. This sad story is beautifully presented that touches emotion many times. Very nice presentation about sorrows and realization on friendship.
