No matter the length that we're apart,
No matter if you start losing faith,
Remember why we still persevere.
No matter who steals away our time,
No matter if our love is their crime,
Remember that it's you I endear.
No matter what obstacles await us,
No matter whose grudge must make these rules,
Remember I'll never disappear.
No matter how dangerous the path,
No matter if we invoke such wrath,
Remember in heart, I'm always there.
As an engrained cynic who’s a closeted romantic I love the fervor that is found in every line, and your belief in the supremacy of love. A fabulous piece.
Rose dear, am in love with you for this one. Thanks for sharing it. And please keep writing. It reminds me of my series of poem 'My Woman I to X'
I like your pattern of 2/1 2/1... two lines No matter... one line Remember... and that repeated 4 times - before you even feel the emotion in this poem it looks like a poem. I like the poem's simplicity too. The lines are a little uneven - the line with grudge in it is longer than the rest, and I'm not sure about it's you I endear. But these are small bones to pick. Your poem does to me what a poem should do, it connects with me. I like it. Thank you.
I loved this poem, with its powerful message to never give up what you believe in that is what true love means. Excellent!
I like this one... True love shall conquer all... When you write from the heart, it is never wrong... Well done...
Great inspirational write! Enjoyed the metered cadence as well as the message.
