Pain Of Being Alone - Poem by Thomas Viruvelil

I feel the terrible pain of being alone
Having no one to share your feelings, worries
Having no one to listen to you
Having no one to dream with you
Having no one to be a part of you
Having no other heart close to you
So that your heart beats can hear another heart beats closely
and when your belly rises when you breath
If it can touch another belly warm near
with those hands hugging you, holding you close
to make you feel sleepy in the comfort of those hands
and make you sleep like an innocent baby.
