Rivers of tears
blocked
her throat
impressed,
the public
smiled.
I like the poem. The smile of the public contrasts very well with the rivers of tears. The way I interpret it, is that Pierrot, the clown did something for fun, somethig that if it would be real would be sad. A small girl who stood in front of him, thinks what he did was real and tears appear, which makes the public smile. The poem is open for many other interpretations as well, which makes the poem extra interesting. Tears and smiles are often so very close to each other
clowns are impressive for the nature of their endeavor - always trying to make someone smile. Always trying to make life a little better for someone else, though the clown him, or herself, may being crying inside. Beautiful poem. Thanks. Voted 10.
