Prayer - 2-Let Me Learn Poem by Kumarmani Mahakul

Prayer - 2-Let Me Learn

Rating: 5.0

Oh God! I am a frightened charioteer
Provide me courage to tame the horses
Who run towards the illusive objects
And towards worldly merchandise ever.

Give me wisdom to train them properly
My chariot is transitory and perishable
This body chariot will be mingled with dust
Let me have intellect to rein wisely.

The five senses are the five horses
You have created to drive body-chariot
They are galloping with high speed
Without hesitating unpredictable time.

I am the soul you provide me
I have the body-chariot to ride with
Let me learn to handle properly
As you say to travel a distant path.

God will always give water to the thirsty. A beautiful prayer like this must surely be answered.

A very very meaningful prayer! Our body as you state here is a chariot run by our five senses which are the horses. If they run wild, we will land up in danger! Only God can give proper direction to them! Beautiful thought!
