Redbird Poem by Practicing Poetess

Redbird

Rating: 5.0

Pretty little cardinal, going "Chip, chip, chip"
As from tree to bush, you flit, flit, flit
Brilliantly coloured, a delight for the eyes
Alwys flying low, never taking to the skies

Quiet and polite you are, not noisy like the jay
Your soft chirps signal the end of the day
Your calls can be heard with the setting of the sun
Signaling to all who hear that day is done.

Mahtab, I think I like your poem better than mine! It's wonderful the way that poets can inspire and learn from one another. Thank you for reading and commenting. Always a pleasure to hear from you! :)
