Response (Being Inspired By A Poem Of Mahtab Bangalee)

Rating: 5.0

To respond my words you are waiting for a suitable time,
Don't you think my words by then may loose their rime,
Don't you know it's you who lives in the heart of a lover,
If heart is broken it'll be an irreparable crime!

POET'S NOTES ABOUT THE POEM
When prayers don't bring the response a believer sometimes becomes a non-believer. Kabir Das says, my brain where else can get the unending peace, I come back on the board like a bird of a ship.(Mero man anant kahan sukh pawe, jeyuN ud jahaz ka panchi pun jahaz per aawe)

Great insight, Akhtar. Why do so many of us believe that the response is meant to take the form of inaction from the one who poses or makes the desire explicit. In that case, waiting is tantamount to a crime. Superb verse, Akhtar.
