Ride Home - Poem by De'shaun Prada

Ride Home
On the bus
Just staring out the window
Listening to music in my ear
Mind already thinks of more rhymes
Also what will happen in my life
Like in the future
Or what will happen when i get home
Leave the past behind
Thats where it should stay right
But for some reason it comes back
Feels like im fighting against
My past, present, and future
Dealing with 3 personalities
The good, bad, and ladies man
Who really know's it all happens in my head
As i continue the ride home
But once i get off the first bus
I say to myself just 1 bus to go
So as i sit and wait
I greet alot of new people
Wondering how generous of them
But still i say this to myself in my head
But all of a sudden i get tired of waitin
Then i stand and walk around
Few minutes later the bus comes
Lady passes me up with baby in hand
being generous i help wit the bags
Finally reach home
Take deep breath and breath
And open my eyes
Come to find out the ride home
Happened in the bed all alone
