Ritual Of Alienation - Poem by Soran M. H

I hear the rustle of slippers
behind me
who is it
Following me, a little apart?
I turn and stare
I see nothing
just dry leaves
seeking their destiny
after waving goodbye
to the trees

The trees are silent
stiff in meditation
the sidewalks are frozen
the streets are empty
I wonder:
where will these narrow paths
take us?

All the rhythm of the seasons
is stopped

But the yellow rose
that smiled at the hum of bees
and cared nothing about death -
let us hope
life
still pulses in her veins

I cite you here: All the rhythm of the seasons
is stopped.....................but life goes on, on one side without rhythm and on the other side with rhythm, like you pictured here, the yellow rose reacts at the hum of bees.A sublimest poem, excellently worded. Lovely!

Dear Sylvia, Your discovery point about this poem will lead us to the conclusion that the strength and power of (love, hope, happiness) even if it is just one, be able to control the sadness, suffering, problems even if they are many.. as we can see in this poem, with the superb ending.. thanks again

Though frozen sidewalks, when there is a flower that reacts at the hums of bees, there is life and especially when there is a rose flirting at the bees, there is love, when there is love in life, there is happiness and life is OK and finest. Superb poem though tad simplified. Thank you for sharing, I have enjoyed this lovely poem. A 10 Full Score (Report)Reply

The cycle of life leads us
    to that ritual of alienation.
    It is inevitable.
A beautiful poem with superb imagery.
