You never saw
the information revolution
coming.
Sometimes,
it would transform people
into machines.
At other times,
it would carry them
so far beyond reality
that reality itself
could no longer
reach them.
They believed
they were happy.
But where are they now?
We believe
we are the fortunate ones—
yet even we
have no idea
what waits for us
behind the next door.
A human being
can build
a perfect world
inside the architecture
of imagination.
In dreams,
wishes come true.
And when
the doors of hope
are locked,
never mind—
the moral question
remains.
Across the decades,
truth and falsehood
travel like parallel lines,
never meeting,
yet forever dividing
one generation
from another—
from the days
before electricity
found its way
into our lives,
all the way
to this uncertain moment.
And perhaps
the greatest mystery
is not what
the future will bring,
but whether
we will...

The moral issue! ! ! ! Thanks for sharing this poem with us.
Soran the old world meets the new and are we any better off spiritually and ethically speaking. For we are capable as a species of such wondrous dreams and darkest nightmares both human history has taught us time after time, do become reality. And do we deserve to take the next evolutionary step, if there is one? Five stars Soran for sharing a real thinker's poem. I wish you well and I'm glad I found your captivating morality poem. Take care.
