Satish Gujral (1) .... Loss Of Sound

Rating: 5.0

Satish Gujral- An artist of renown
Lost his hearing at the age of eight
He has always been compensating
The stillness of his silence by art
A series of operations on his leg
Affected a nerve leading to his ear
And took away his world of sounds.

A very interesting biographical poem. An artist who lost his power of hearing from a young age rose to towering heights as a painter and sculptor. Thank you so much for highlighting the journey of a great artiste.......10

A review from an accomplished artiste of International acclaim is no less than a reward in itself. It is the humility of this great artist makes his phenomenal rise all the more remarkable. Thank you so much, Geeta ji.

We know him as an artist of international acclaim. His paintings are sold or auctioned in India and abroad for astronomical amounts and are in the possession of connoisseurs of arts. I have attended one of his exhibitions many years ago showcasing many of his paintings and sculptures using multiple mediums. Thanks, Kumarmani ji, for sharing your views and for a positive feedback on the subject poem.
