The spectacular ocean is her mentor for her moods,
Bringing her back to life,
Mighty waves surging forward, releasing her energy like her daily food
For her ever-changing moods.
She wanders all over this planet without luggage,
Just her heavy baggage of never forgotten years,
Years of never feeling at ease
A time for her heart-breaking tears,
Inland counties suffocates her free spirit,
She lives with her cutting edge wit,
As she drinks to escape, to survive, to feel alive,
Seascapes is her living and giving
To her friends and family,
She fights for her freedom which is her only kind of living,
Like the ocean movement unrestrained never on a tight rein,
Being controlled is like being in constant pain,
She runs away to different countries
To sun drenched skies to escape the miserable rain,
Beating her into submission,
Destroying her creative, free thinking vision,
Stay still awhile, drink in the peace
She tells herself, but the burden of her thoughts,
Gallops away from those years of tears,
She tries to conquer her fears,
To escape the misery of her younger years,
Where she never felt at home, only the ocean
Freed her tied up emotions,
To a softer surging of the ocean,
Always in serene motion!
Feel her deep emotion Like the surging ocean ......well presented piece!
Wow, yes, the spectacular ocean, the first stanza speaks volumes, instantly crashing against the past..inland counties does indeed suffocate such a free spirit, you must breathe the oceans breath, the ocean does not control but understands as a kindred spirit, I just love this! ! !

The spectacular ocean is her mentor for her moods, Bringing her back to life, Mighty waves surging forward, releasing her energy like her daily food For her ever-changing moods........enchanted beginning. A beautiful poem so nicely executed. Thanks for sharing.
I see the seascape in all your poems and feel that this poem has a deep autobiographical touch! You are able to give life and 'fire' to all your emotions! There is a kind of melancholy in most of your poems that gives a tug at the heart strings of the reader! Your poems are so emotive, engrossing and touchingly expressive! Great write Hazel!
To escape the misery of her younger years, Where she never felt at home, only the ocean Freed her tied up emotions, To a softer surging of the ocean, a lot of imagination to describe the inner pain of the past of bygone years. so well and poetically illustrated.. thank you dear poetess Hezel for this beautiful poem. tony
