Seasons Ii Poem by LeeAnn Azzopardi

Seasons Ii

Rating: 5.0

When will the flowers bloom?
And the robins sing
When will time slow down
As it goes fast?
Easy living, I want to experience
Summertime bring joy
But so, does autumn
Sometimes, the long day's warmth
Is unbearable
However, I'll have no desire for winter
I just can't stand snow in April
I would become restless
Wearing my winter clothes at Easter
Getting impatient to go barefoot
But you get that hire
When we reached May
It's time to party
And it won't stop until September

Time is also speeding by. Tina died eleven years ago this Saturday. Where has that eleven years gone? ?

It's the same here in Wales, One day I'm in shorts in full sunshine then a week of wearing winter clothes in torrential rain. Twice I planted grass seed, twice they've been washed out. We are now in climate change territory.

When LeeAnn says, "I just can't stand snow in April", all of us join the chorus with her. For that means catastrophe, no Apocalypse…

A marvelous poem on change of seasons and our feeling towards them. When in joy we feel time is flowing fast. When in pain, we feel time is too tardy.
