Sept 2018, Sapporo Poem by Elena Sandu

Sept 2018, Sapporo

Rating: 4.7

What is you wish to tell us dear earth
Why are you jumping, shaking angry,
What is your aim, why have you us, the people, hurt?

I hoped tonight we'll have some rest
After the pouring rains and chill winds blow
And endless nights of earthquakes, oh!

Huh! ? Dear humans you think is all about your hurt?
You damaged us, your house, so much
That soon we'd all be crippled, paralyzed.

Earthquakes are nothing but my tremors
Of huge pain.Taifun is my scared breathe
And rains, tears for mercy, poured in vain.

The humans have no eyes to see, no heart to feel,
no ears to hear, no mind for future dreams. The Humans care?
Naah. They work only to survive today, tomorrow, or next week.

.................................................

Cutremurele nu-s altceva decât pamant in tremur

FIRST PART: Eerie is that when the earth shakes so hard that there are so many victims. Excellently worded, Elena, I so understand every word you wrote here, metaphors or in reality. They have the same results in people's hearts. First Sapporo near you, then Palu, near the island Java where I was born, now Palu does not exist anymore, on the peninsula of Sulawesi, Indonesia.
