Shattered Dreams - Poem by EmilyAnn Blas

Shattered dreams and broken hearts,
how could you tear you're family apart? !
Our creations were made
through the gift of love.
A few precious joys
sent from the man up above.
I thought you would love me,
I thought you would care,
in my heart I thought
we were the perfect pair.
I guess I was wrong
to think you were different,
you came into my life
and took away my innocence.
You took away the joy,
you took away the laughter,
you took away the thought
of living happily ever after.
Shattered dreams and broken hearts,
that's all you've left us with!

'That's all you've left us with'. Poetry continues to surprise everybody for its hit definitions. As this show of a wound. (Report) Reply
