I had fallen in love with her at first sight
A six year old with eyes wet with dewy tears
Her slight brown hair was tied at the back into a ponytail
On her face was the pain of desertion
In her torn pink frock and delicate frame,
She looked a fading rose flower.
She was one among the abandoned
With no Dad or Mom to kiss away the tears
Or hold her close to the heart
It was with those branded as orphans
And boarded under one roof like caged birds
That I first saw her, but why did I single her out
May be the cute look and the seraphic innocence
Stamped on her face that made her so special!
I thought of making her happy somehow
The second time I went there, I carried some knick knacks
And some sweets for the children to munch
Also a parcel colourfully wrapped and tied with a ribbon
When I called her aloof and handed that small gift,
I watched the twinkle in her little eyes
As she opened it with her fumbling hands
Curiosity peeked on her face and eyes
When finally took out the glossy frilled frock
She squealed with delight and clapped her hands
And I saw her face aglow with excitement and joy.
Into her bleak world I let out a flash of euphoria!
What a Love! ! ! ! What a poem and what an expression, loved everything you described so perfectly... I watched the twinkle in her little eyes As she opened it with her fumbling hands Curiosity peeked on her tender face and eyes When finally took out the glossy frilled frock
You described yourself so clear and well Your kindness from your poem all can tell Thanks Valsa
It is so touchingly portrayed on an orphan, her appearance and her curiosity. When you offer her a parcel colorfully wrapped and tied with a ribbon, she opens with her fumbling hands and a mark of curiosity peeked on her face and eyes is found. When she opens it, her face glows with excitement and joy. You have so kind heart madam, We should have love towards orphans. A beautiful poem is amazingly shared.
The need for love in our world is so immense, there should be no room for hate. A great gift indeed. Thank you, Valsa.
A correction if you permit.. You let in a flash of bliss. What a beautiful poem. Again 10.
A cute lovable little girl meets a compassionate soul. Love emanates and spreads around. The poem is a beauty.
Is any gift better than love, for a wounded dove, Knick knacks for an orphan bird that brought smiles on her face, Was a Valsa's supplement, to the gift a glace, to Valsa a grace. A beautiful poem Valsa! ..............................10
