Valsa George

Simple Verse- 27.Take A Day Off - Poem by Valsa George

Don’t ever be in sick hurry
Take a respite from all your worry
Occasionally steal a moment to enjoy
Look at life in a spirit of joy

Watch the beauty of the day
Let no work come your way
To free yourself from the grinding strife
Take part in the joyous surge of life

Come out of your gloomy den
Mix with like- minded men
The best way to have peaceful rest
Is to seek comfort in Nature’s breast

See the flowers growing in row
Admire the carnation’s purple glow
Look at the jasmines twined in crescent
Smell their intoxicating scent

Take a stroll along the sandy shore
Feel the kiss of the salubrious air
Listen to the roar of wild waves
Watch how the water in anger raves

To wind off the day to a beautiful end
Seek the company of a loving friend!
For a day, steer clear of all your care
In the merry round of life, have a share

A nice piece of advice and so very well penned. Even though all of us may be aware of this escape route from the drudgery of grinding strife we still fail to come out of the gloomy den where we find ourselves locked in. A ver meaningful advice, Valsa. (Report) Reply

There is no sense in worry, it solves nothing ands elf replicates. Time off, to clear the mind and focus on beauty, can be a wonder drug. (Report) Reply

Once in a while we should just let go of the usual business of the day to take pleasure in the simple, lazy moments that life offers.. But very few can appreciate solitude, most of us feel lonely, even in a crowd or amidst friends... A beautiful poem ma'am.. Thank you for sharing.. (Report) Reply

Occasionally steal a moment to enjoy
Look at life in a spirit of joy
That should be the spirit. So much joy is there to be discovered in umpteen things around us but what we need is a moment away from the dreariness of our lives. Lovely poem. Thanks.
