Smiling Is A Scandal - Poem by Ash Trees
It is a scandal to smile in this world,
Photographs of smiles is so over,
Today it's nothing but pouts and sharp eyes,
Smiling is a sign of happiness,
And happiness is so over.
Smiling is a bit of a waste,
After all there really isn't anything to smile about,
Not here, in the middle of day in
And day out,
Predictable as those people you prayed to
God you wouldn't end up like.
And ofcourse there are those people,
Those people who make comments,
Suggesting that if you smile in any way
That you are either laughing at them,
Or that you feel guilty about something.
So why should I smile,
Just to llok unfashionable, predictable,
Or to have people question my motive.
I smile because i don't care one little bit.
Smiling is unfashionable, predictable and fun.
