thinking of Camille Claudel
she had a younger brother
Paul
her life had been very sad, true sad
to be told again,
but honesty and justice make me write
about her in short
women at that time
had absolutely no right at all,
can you imagine that?
above all, she was a genial sculptress,
expositions were prohibited,
only for sculptors
so many errors
in her era of creating
can you imagine she's become insane?
Even the french sculptor Rodin
used her to make sculptures for him
they only made love,
Rodin has misused her great gifts
to earn money for his own
the incidents remained following
after her parents died,
Paul wished to make a world tour promoting his books
so there was only one best solution for him
the cheapest and the least for him
to be a dishonoured person in public,
he will get no shame of this game
he declared his healthy sister,
the famous sculptress, suffering from insanity,
so he can put her in an asylum
no any visitor she got,
Paul never visited her till the day she died,
she left many lovely letters,
thirty years long,
imprisoned, worse than Mayalou's poem
about the caged bird, I bet
bereft of freedom!
I become sad again thinking of this lovely woman in that asylum in France....

So sad to know that there are people who are so greedy and manipulative. They used others in climbing the ladder. And what is so degrading is when your dear ones are the culprits of your own dilemma. What a miserable life...so sad for Camille.
Oh, how deeply poignant and so moving this wonderful story of a great woman with an extraordinary talent. I was teary eyed reading this poem and I feel so lucky...so much lucky, indeed, that we were born in an era when the rights of women have been recognized in the fundamental laws of every country.
Nice poem with a sad message. What a cruel man. I bet it did not end well for him. May the lady's soul rest in eternal peace. And kudos to yoi for letting us know about so we can celebrate her short life. Is there more info or a wbsite i can see/read more?
She left many lovely letters full of emotion. We realize the sad moments she has lived in the past. Thinking of Camille Claudel and her younger brother, you have brought up emotion alive and we feel this truth. Paul never visited till her death this was so sad really. Life was painful as we witness. This poem is very amazingly penned...10

A vivid and brilliant portrayal of abuse, injustice, curtailment of freedom, sadness and extraordinary talent. Wonderful poem that evokes sadness, empathy and anger of how a dear one could go down to the level of an evil just for self aggrandizement. Beautiful presentation that will linger in the mind of a reader. Very informative and gripping story by the great Poetess who can always create a theme worth to ponder about. To my Poem List.
