Some people are obsessed with age,
they want to know the truth, no matter the wage,
but age is just a number, can't you see?
wisdom can come at any time, even at seventy-three.
Some wish to gauge you, based on your years,
but that's just silly, let go of your fears,
age doesn't determine your worth or skills,
each individual is unique, with their own thrills.
So keep doing guess work, don't be a bore,
Leave them to enjoy, don't be a score,
who cares if they're young or old,
It's their journey, let them unfold.
Just because someone's hair has turned grey,
doesn't mean their mind has gone astray,
and just because someone's youthful and spry,
doesn't mean they lack knowledge, oh my!
So let's all just embrace our age,
and not let it be a constant rage,
for life is short, let's enjoy the ride,
no matter our age, let's all have pride.
I give 4 stars ****. There AER typos, but most of the poem is enjoyable and some of it even makes (some) sense! ! Ha ha.
Some of her words seem out of place, but they don't make her WHOLE poem a disgrace. I THINK Sheeya's 73, but perhaps 12 or 59 she may be. bri : )
So very true. Age doesn't determine your worth or skills. We must count not the years we lived but how we lived our lives.
Fantastic verse, Sheeya. I agree....embrace the age, no matter when one is!
Life indeed is short, no matter one's age. Brilliant verse, Sheeya.
A meaningful and wonderful poem. So well expressed and presented. Top Marks!

I would like to translate this poem
Age matters to most. I don't care.
