মাঝে মাঝে ঘুম আসেনা
উদ্ভট চিন্তা জাগিয়ে রাখে আমায়
সারা রাত জেগে থাকি

সুফী গান আমার প্রিয়
ঠিক কবিতার মতো
তবে মাঝে মাঝে ভালো লাগেনা

না; মাঝে মাঝে লিখিনা
চাঁদের সাথে পত্র মিতালীও হয়না
ভালো লাগেনা কিছুই

রাতের অন্ধকার উপভোগ করি একাকী
ঘোর কৃষ্ণপক্ষের রাত বন্ধু আমার
মাঝে মাঝে নির্ঘুম স্নায়ুতে তা-ও ভালো লাগেনা

মাঝে মাঝে বুঝতে পারি
আমি ভালো থাকিনা
অজানা দুর্বলতায়

Sometimes sleep does not come
Strange thoughts keep me awake
I stay wakeful all night

Sufi songs are my favorite
Just like poetry
But sometimes it doesn't feel upright

No; Sometimes I don't write
There is no loving correspondence with the moon
Nothing I feel good to enjoy

I enjoy the darkness of the night alone
The pure dark-night is my bosom friend
Sometimes it doesn't feel good also in the sleepless nerves

Sometimes I understand
I'm feeling not well in unknown weakness
