Soul Soother Poem by Practicing Poetess

Soul Soother

Rating: 5.0

What can I do
To ease your pain?
If I were a mime,
I'd make you laugh again

If I were a harpist,
I'd play an angel's song.
If you'd let me near,
I'd hold you all night long.

If I were the wind,
I'd blow dark clouds away.
If I were the sun,
I'd turn your night to day.

If I were a chef,
I'd cook you comfort food.
To alleviate your hurt,
I'd do the best I could.

To see all your pain leave
Is what I desire.
I'll sit by you silently,
If that's all you require.

Thank you for reading and appreciating, Rebecca! Oh, and I'd be remiss if I didn't thank you for the 10, too! :)

I love it. I think the best thing a poet or poetess can do for one they care about, is to write them a poem like this one.

Thank you, Barry! Your appreciation was prompt! I think the very best thing would be to actually DO these things.... But writing about it is the next best thing! As they say, it's the thought that counts! Have a great evening! :)
