Bad environment can never alter
The core of being of a person
With strong character
Like the rock on the sea
That could never be
Toppled by the mountain of waves
Instead it slices
The hostile water
With its sharp daggers.

a simple frail reed seems to lack strength character, blown by every breeze storm wind violent breathless laid flat, an oak mature mighty cannot bend to storm wind change devastating, proud tree countless years standing undaunted may sudden back break in storm, among windswept ground bare a reed may sunshine rise in breeze sweet flexible dance
A well written terrific poem. Truly magnificent....10+++++++
So true....! A man of character remains unchanged and unshaken through weal and woe however hard and adverse, the situation be! The comparison here of such a man to a piece of rock in the sea that withstands the assault of the roaring breakers is very apt. A wonderful poem.... dear friend!
One can never use the excuse of having an unfortunate upbringing, for awful behavior. A fine moral statement in this lovely poem.
A man is known by his character and his character is known by friends he keeps. A strong poem.
Dear Rose, your thoughts and words are an echo and reflection of my thoughts and words as well. A strong character can never be toppled by a mountain of waves or with sharp daggers. Absolutely! I fully go with you dear Poetess.... :) Top Stars
