Such A Dark Loneliness

Rating: 5.0

How to be so lonely
Irony lost on me
On nights when wolves howl
And cougars so scowl

Loneliness is so hard to bear and very, very tough indeed. A sad poem dear Richard but that's reality exposed so beautifully through this poem.....10

A very empathic response, Geeta. And comforting. Sincerest THX for your positive constructive criticism. As always, your comments are very much appreciated.

Indeed, patience is not the tea of everybody's cup after all.

I forgot to add my wife died ten years ago, the hospital only said she was dying 20 minutes before she died, my Labrador Clara helped but she died 22 months ago too. Can be tough

My sincerest condolences, David. It's shocking that the hospital had only given you 20 minutes notice. Very unfair of them to do that!

Some people feel it for a day or two, or even a month, but I've had ten years of it and people expect you to snap out of it just as if you've fell asleep for an hour or so. They have no patience or understanding.

David, that's one great thing about PH: the poets/poetesses have patience, understanding and empathy. And the camaraderie compensates for the loneliness.
