Suicide - Poem by danielle barnes

She is the one in the halls
that writes on the bathroom walls
trips and hits kids
throws huge fits
she don't have many friends
and walks along the streets
in search for sex and drugs
so she can feel good about herself
usually late at night
she cries in her sleep
curled up like a cat
she clenches her feet
and screams
she writes notes to herself
about how badly her life sucks
instead of doing her homework
she’s failing half her classes
one day
she came with an idea
and bought a riffle
on her way to school
she stuffed it in her backpack
as if nothing was wrong
until the clock struck one
she took the riffle out
and held it to wards her
she killed herself
though she also
shoot the pain away
the agony
the tears
and fears
she had felt for so long
with her body in a puddle of blood
and crowds of people screaming
in the suicidal hallway
she always walked along
