Tagore Song (444) Took A Dip In The Gorgeous Ocean Hoping The Priceless Jewell

Rating: 4.5

(rup sagore dub diyechhi orup-roton asha kori)

Took a dip in gorgeous ocean hoping priceless Jewell
Unwilling to go along shore sailing my damaged boat
Let there be the time now for giving up wave-pleasure
Reaching bottom to nectar remaining dead as immortal
Song eternally ringing there that can not be heard here
Will carry my life's Bina in meeting of that bottomless
Intoning my lifelong song and crying that in my last cry
Will submit my quiet Bina at the feet of Eternal-silence

Tuning the eternal note, in the last song, Crying out the last utterance for Him, Shall lay down my silent harp At the feet of the One, who is Silent! - I seem to have realized the meaning of the song many years after devoted listening!

Intensely meaningful and precious, the holding of life within us, yet unwilling to continue sailing a damaged boat. Being ill, holding onto life, praying for the priceless jewel of eternal silence with our last cry. Heart wrenching, brought tears to my eyes and heart, yet it's so beautiful at the same time. Thank you Tushar, I love you. RoseAnn

Thanks Roseann - As I told you about Tagore, I have not come across any succinct poem of such in-depth feeling from anyone else. You know Tagor is my Guru.
