Take This Rose Poem by LeeAnn Azzopardi

Take This Rose

Rating: 5.0

Take this rose
And dance with it between yr teeth
Take this rose
And never tell me that you love me
However, you must go
As this solitary rose means nothing
But yr departure
And I curse it's loveliness
While my tears burn it until
The phoenix rises
Take this rose
And give it to another

An honest portrait of hurt feelings, the pain is felt behind every word. I can relate with this 100 %.
