The Curse Of Waiting Poem by diana rose tolentino

The Curse Of Waiting

Rating: 3.5

Time do not stand still
Nor it waits for just anyone.
It moves on its own free will.
It is up to us what will be done.

But as time goes by the steady beat
The waiting heart started to freeze
Standing over the top of summer heat
Long white gown billowing on the breeze

Dark green eyes searching the open ocean
Watching the waves comes crashing to shore
The damp cold wind battering her skin
Sure to know what she was watching for

As the clock comes ticking fast
She is still stranded on the past
Trapped for years on this island's lore
She is cursed to wait a hundred more

Wait is an examination of patience. It provides us slowness and steadiness and we ultimately win the race. Thanks

As the clock comes ticking fast She is still stranded on the past Trapped for years on this island's lore She is cursed to wait a hundred more Haunting lines indeed; I sometimes feel like this could be my destiny.
