The Echoes Of The Rain Stones Poem by Sylvia Frances Chan

The Echoes Of The Rain Stones

Rating: 5.0

The autumn birds have disappeared
at the touch of rain, bullets geared
but we are at least very wise
we are constantly in disguise

honest diligent people we know have a very early rise
they are not in disguise
will this be very wise?
the bullets we hear so very close

these small round very dangerous stones,
think of the old people
they are oft home alone

praying is my most powerful weapon
for them to be shielded upon
the most dangerous attack
of the new madman goes on and on

COMMENTS OF THE POEM

If we look back we would find many a mad men who held the entire world to ransom. But, like Hitler, their place is in the waste bin of history.

You are so right, dear Unnikrishnan, absolutely in the waste bin of history, but this history is at the moment still a story of every day, Ido hope this will be soon history. In gratitude, Sylvia

Mam, your last stanza indicates the most pertinent method, is prayer. Great thinking revered Mam.
