The Fiesta - Poem by Austin Piatt

I once went to a fiesta to have a blast
it started to end, but i wanted it to last
I told the dancers to keep there groove
and I told the bartender to not sit still, but move
the taco man had to leave
and all the dancers had to breath
all of the sombreros started to sink
and all the panchos turned to pink
all of the people were very thirsty
they prayed to Jesus for some mercy
Jesus came down and did something kind
he turned the water into wine
this fiesta turned out to be one of my best days
I thank the lord with all my praise
