The Guilt Poem by LeeAnn Azzopardi

The Guilt

Rating: 5.0

I tried to wash my face
But the guilt is still there
For I killed my love
And scarred my soul
I see the blood
But I can't wipe it off
I scrub hard
However, it cannot be removed
The stains and scratches
On my heart
I am left with no choice
As the guilt continue to grow
Chewing my guts
I will continue to keep my secret
Until it rips me apart

Our Lord is filled with Compassion, as we turn to him and lay our guilt at his feet......
