The Lines Of Time Poem by Patricia Gale

The Lines Of Time

Rating: 5.0

The lines of time
Stare back a little bolder than before
The mirror revealing more than one would wish to see
Starring into the blue looking back at me
Drifting into the past
Wondering where the years have went
Remembering younger days when time seemed endless
But now it races by like a speeding bullet
Pondering on things and were they have gone
Flashes of people, places and times
Exposing my mind to thoughts that transcend through ages
The old cliché, you’ll wake up one day and wonder were the time has went
Now stares back at me
A little harder than before
A deep sigh rises from my heart
I begin to reflect then wonder…
How many more lines of time will appear the next time
The mirror and I have a silent chat
