The Mourning Ring Poem by LeeAnn Azzopardi

The Mourning Ring

Rating: ★5.0

Let down yr hair, my love
And I'll cut it
Binding it into a ring of memory
I shall wear it forever
So, I can feel the way it was after death
As I live without yr kiss
I'll caress it until the binding disappears

A total reversal of Samson and Delilah. LeeAnn, your poem brilliantly illustrates the love spectrum! Superb!

When darkness of loss and separation is overwhelming, even a ring of hair ignites the glimmer of memory….good poem, LeeAnn
