The Rain - Poem by Jacob Parker

When it rains
It helps me wash away my pains
It helps me coup with my insanity
And take me away from all of humanity

You can see it in my face
It takes me to a better place
I have gone there for many years
When I am there I have no fears

The rain it calms my soul
Which is the Ultimate goal
To find inner self
Is how I measure wealth

For you can go to college
And still not gain the knowledge
Of finding inner peace
Which everyone should do at least

I have found that one place
That nothing can erase
So now not even destiny
Will ever get the best of me
